Fair Close Centre receives no public funding. We have to raise approximately £20,000 a year through a variety of fundraising events.
Fair Close Centre, operated by Age Concern Newbury and District is an important community facility for West Berkshire as it provides an opportunity for senior citizens to meet friends over morning tea and coffee, have lunch and take part in arts and crafts activities, to join a knit and natter group or to play bingo or whist.
Our charity which receives no public funding, was formed in the early 1960's. The Fair Close Centre was opened in 1967 by Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. Its objectives are to encourage, promote and organise direct services appropriate to the needs of older people.
We would love it if you would make a donation to us today!
Your generous donation will allow us to continue our work and provide our local senior citizens with a community hub where we help alleviate loneliness and provide a place for friends to meet and friendships to be made.
