Ruth’s Challenge & Memorial

May 3, 2024

Ruth’s Challenge is a motivational project created working together with the inspirational Ruth Saunders MBE.  Ruth sadly passed away during February age 107 whilst still living independently at home.  She was a friend of Fair Close for many years and visited Anna at our hairdressing salon every week without fail.

The challenge for Fair Close members and everyone over 65 is to set a personal goal to achieve something during 2024.  All you need to do is register your challenge with us and we will support you in achieving your goal.

Many individuals have already committed to joining our Love to Move classes with Louise that start very soon.  Alternatively we have the Chair Exercise class for any one eager to improve their balance and mobility.  This is held every Monday at 11.15am.  Also, by popular demand we have arranged a day trip to Bournemouth, regular local excursions and much more entertainment to enjoy.  See our Calendar for more information.

The project offers an opportunity to raise much needed funds towards our high energy costs and has already raised £4,882 with match funding on The Good Exchange that turns every £1 donated into £2!
