Fun, food and friendship for older people in West Berkshire
NEWS: ‘Eat Out to Help Out’ at Fair Close from 3 – 31 August, our two-course lunch will be just £2.50 (£2.75 for non-members) on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays thanks to the government scheme.
Head Chef, Sophie and the kitchen team have designed a delicious new menu with one and two-course lunches to be served Monday to Friday, brunch on Saturday and roast on Sunday. We aim to provide the opportunity for older people to eat out with their friends and family with confidence in the highest standards of social distancing, customer safety, limited numbers and respectful staff. MEALS ON WHEELS
Why not have freshly cooked hot meals delivered to your home daily or a few times a week? Our Meals on Wheels service is available to older people across West Berks seven days a week.
Get involved with us
The Fair Close Centre receives no public funding. We are dependent on our own efforts to fundraise. Please donate to help us enrich the lives of older people in West Berks.
Become a volunteer
Are you looking to help your community? Why not join us as a volunteer? We are always looking for help and for drivers to deliver our meals on wheels.
We offer membership for regular users of the Centre which means savings on the cost of meals and in our hairdressing salon.
Opened by the Queen Mother in November 1967, the Fair Close Centre is an important community facility for the town and also for many Sovereign residents and we support this exciting initiative.
